Day 1: RURRENABAQUE – SAN MIGUEL DEL BALA

We pick you up from your hotel and then we walk up to the port of the village to get on a motor canoe to begin our journey through the Amazon rivers. This time we sail along Beni River for 45 minutes toward Eco Hostel San Miguel del Bala in the buffer area of Madidi National Park.
After checking in in your cabin, your local guide will accompany you through the jungle to learn about ancient hunting methods of the Tacana (indigenous ethnicity of the area). In the afternoon, you will visit the Canyon of San Miguel, a 3-hour walk from the eco-lodge. The Canyon has a cold and wet ecosystem with an extension of 150 meters in length. This area houses unique species of frogs, nests of hummingbirds and bats. Later, we return to the lodge on the motor canoe. Enjoy your dinner and get ready to relax the rest of the night in your cabin or in the hammock.

Day 2: SAN MIGUEL DEL BALA – MADIDI PARK

After breakfast, we start our trip to Madidi National Park (3 to 4 hours) along Beni River. This is a trip to the interior of the wonderful Madidi Park and by Tuichi River, a more intimate body of water, we will be able to have a better view of animals and birds.
We arrive in Albergue Caquiahuara, inside the impressive Madidi, where there are seven paths leading to beautiful places far from the cabins at different levels and distances according to the preference of the visitors. In the evening, we will enjoy a short hike that will provide you a totally different experience. The Amazon jungle becomes an endless concert in homage to the magnificent nature in a remarkable state of conservation.

Day 3: PARQUE MADIDI – RURRENABAQUE

We descend through the Amazon rivers that are witnesses of our great adventure. On the way back to Rurrenabaque, we will stop to take a short walk to the mountain to see the beautiful endemic macaws of the park that make their nests on the cliffs along the Tuichi River.
